Kim Ogg
Kim Ogg is a native Houstonian and attorney of 38 years who has been board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1992. From 2017 – 2024, Kim Ogg was the Harris County District Attorney. Prior to her two terms as DA, she served in many different roles in our justice system including Assistant District Attorney, Houston’s first Anti-Gang Task Force Director, Executive Director of Crime Stoppers of Houston and managing partner of her family’s boutique law firm.
While serving as the top law enforcement official in Harris County, DA Ogg’s priorities were to stop the release of repeat violent offenders on bail; reduce the criminal case backlog through targeted prosecution of Houston’s most violent criminals; and diversion of non-violent offenders into programs keep them in the workforce. As the only Harris County District Attorney to complete two terms since 2000, DA Ogg has rejoined the private sector. She currently serves as the Pro Bono General Counsel for Texas Crime Victims United
