Stacy W. Beasley
Stacy Beasley is a seasoned litigator with over 30 years of experience representing clients in a wide range of commercial litigation matters. Her practice spans both global Big Law firms and boutique litigation practices, where she has advocated for clients ranging from billion-dollar corporations to small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals.
Stacy has handled trials and disputes at every stage of the litigation process. Her experience includes claims involving breach of contract, fraud, tortious interference, conversion, estoppel, libel, business disparagement, and violations of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act, RICO, and the Texas Theft Liability Act. She has represented clients across diverse industries, including construction and engineering, insurance, energy (including oil and gas), media, cable operations, heavy machinery distribution, nonprofit services, and more.
Known for her sharp analytical skills, thorough preparation, and tenacity, Stacy is adept at quickly understanding the factual and legal complexities of each case. She is also deeply attuned to the emotional toll litigation can take on clients. Representative Cases and Experience
- Secured a seven-figure judgment in the London Court of International Arbitration on behalf of a Houston-based fabrication company in a dispute with a Scandinavian gas processing and conversion firm. Following mediation, successfully enforced and collected the award through foreign court proceedings.
- Represented a nonparticipating mineral royalty interest owner in recovering hundreds of thousands of dollars in underpaid royalties from an oil and gas operator.
- Achieved a favorable outcome for a West Texas landowner in an easement dispute with a natural gas pipeline company, securing a settlement nearly eight times higher than the amount initially awarded by special commissioners in the condemnation proceeding.
- Successfully appealed a trademark denial by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on behalf of a Houston-based business, resulting in the reversal of the decision and approval of the client’s trademark.
- Successfully represented a crane and heavy machinery company based in India, to recover the cost of purchased cranes that the seller failed to ship to Mumbai.
- Represented a major gas and electric company in litigation arising out of California’s energy crisis.
- Successfully represented multiple print and broadcast media defendants in various defamation based lawsuits.
- Successfully represented national and regional banks on various matters including
litigation pertaining to loans, garnished funds, and forged instruments involving claims for breach of contract, tortious interference, misrepresentation, and claims under the Texas Business & Commerce Code.
