Todd Burns
Wesley Todd Burns, who goes by Todd, is a native Texan, born in San Angelo and raised in Sugar Land. Todd is a graduate of the United States Military Academy where he obtained a B.S. in Engineering-Management. Following graduation from West Point, Todd was commissioned and served as a logistics officer in the U.S. Army to include Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm, where he was deployed to Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
Following his time as an active-duty Army officer, Mr. Burns served 21 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigations, during which time he had several assignments in Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and England. With the FBI, Todd successfully investigated crimes involving counterterrorism, cybercrimes, interstate theft, gangs, narcotics, and public corruption. More recently, he played a key role as Senior Fraud Investigator for Hewlett Packard Enterprises in obtaining significant financial recoveries in the areas of fraud and counterfeit.
Todd first realized an interest in studying law while studying at West Point and later made that ambition a reality by attending law school in the evenings while working at the FBI. Attorney Burns uses his incredible depth of experience investigating fraud, corruption, and serious crimes to serve his clients with a level of inside experience that is rare in the legal community. Often the value of a skilled attorney is demonstrated when they use their experience to avoid a costly and risky trial for their clients. Attorney Burns is a trained crisis negotiator as well as business negotiator and brings these negotiation skills to the table to achieve the best outcomes for his clients as they as they face Federal and State charges.
Todd enjoys time with his family as well as CrossFit and hiking.
